The jalapeno relish/cranberry/cream cheese torte has become one of our customer's favorite Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year appetizer.

Our Spicy Tomato Relish is reminiscent of the old fashioned relishes popular with country cooks. The best tomatoes available are chopped with a few jalapenos and spices…a delicious finishing touch to your meals! Try it as a condiment with beef…pot roast, brisket, and steak. It is also great on a hamburger!! It is fabulous with chicken fajitas and with fish. Mix it with some mayo to make an aioli to spread on a sandwich or as a dip! This relish takes scrambled eggs to a whole new level. Also wonderful as a topping for hummus or cream cheese.

West Plains Wrap

INGREDIENTS:
1 sheet of lavash bread (usually about 9" x 12")
2 T. mayo
1 T. Dijon mustard
1/4 - 1/3 cup HJ jalapeno relish
4 slices of smoked ham
1/3 lb parrano cheese, grated

DIRECTIONS:
Cut sheet of bread in half leaving 2 sections approximately 6" long. Combine mayo and mustard and spread evenly on each section of bread. Spread HJ jalapeno relish on top. Cover with slices of ham, add grated cheese. Roll each rectangle and wrap tightly with plastic wrap. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Unwrap and cut each piece diagonally creating 4 sections.

SUGGESTIONS/TIPS:
(1) Lavash is a flat bread sold in the bakery/bread department of most markets. If it is not available in your market, pita bread or flour tortillas can be substituted. (2) Parrano cheese is a cheese from Holland that tastes like a cross between gouda and parmesan. It has a slight nutty flavor . If you cannot find it in your local market, you can use Swiss or gouda (3) You might also add some red leaf lettuce before wrapping the sandwich if you are going to serve it reasonably soon.
